Bike tour with wine tasting at Masi Tenuta Canova
Hop on, riding your bike through Lake Garda's vineyards is a unique experience. Combine a bike ride with a wine tasting is the best way to enjoy autumn in Torri del Benaco and surroundings.
Masi Tenuta Canova, conveniently located on the outskirts of Lazise in the hinterland of Lake Garda is a recognized leader in the production of Amarone. A hidden treasure inside the 40 hectares which the winery owns in the municipalities of Lazise, Colá, and Rivoli. The estate originate from the renovation of an ancient rural courtyard surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Besides the extensive vineyards and the organically managed olive grove, the estate is also home to a traditional fruit-ripening room, where the grapes are left to wither before being pressed, the cellar, the Masi Wine Discovery Museum and the cosy Wine Bar.
The tour of the estate starts from the belvedere, where the beautifully enchanting view spans from the vineyards to the Valpolicella hills, as far as the mountains. The drying room, or fruttaio, where the grapes are left to wither before pressing, is the next stop, followed by the maturation cellars. At the Wine Bar is possible to taste and compare products from the different properties of the company and pair them with high-quality local cuisine.
Tenuta Canova by bike: a day trip by bike!
It is also possible to reach Tenuta Canova by bike, starting from Residence Ca’ del Lago. The glimpses and the view on Lake Garda make the journey mandatory for the ones who love riding their bike, getting enchanted admiring the surrounding landscapes.
